The KHAN is a local non-profit and open-source project seeking to air new voices and formats
The Colorado Society of Wireless and Broadcast Engineering (CSWBE) is a non-profit 501c3 organization which exists to run public services for the community including low power FM broadcasting, educating students and citizens about wireless communications, as well as providing a vessel and platform for scientific and engineering research.
We are an LPFM station, that is low power FM, just 100 watts. We’re at 107.1 on your dial with a call sign of KHAN-LP. Our coverage area is the Colorado Springs metro area.
Our programming is highly experimental, but you will primarily find electronic music, local creators, news, political philosophy, and interviews with local organizations, people, and friends. We intend to give a voice to the people in a way that isn’t normally available, with an emphasis on student collaboration and broadcasting of content that is not aired anywhere else. We are not syndicated, and will never be part of a large public corporation. We are a community radio station for Colorado Springs. All of our programming will be 100% originated or scheduled by members from Colorado Springs. Our music library has been privately collected and curated over a period of years and includes artists that have literally never been aired before. This is a one-of-a-kind station.
